International Professors Project is a world wide organization focusing on the long-term development of new International Professors as ambassadors of global education in search of understanding and learning.
Welcome to International Professors Project
The International Professors Project is a non-profit global network of professors who have begun working as "Academic Citizens of the World" on university campuses in developing countries around the world.
Our ambassador professors and instructors, including expatriate, full, associate, graduate, and retired, teach, mentor, and conduct local research as they internationalize college and university faculties in their host countries. IPP is an innovation, inspired in large part by current trends towards globalization.

The Burundi Universities Development Program aims to improve service education and lifelong learning programs in the developing world, specifically in Africa. Our purpose is to provide an innovative program to foster the self-sustenance of people in developing countries so that they may live a dignified, professional, and autonomous lifestyle. By supporting the infrastructure of higher education, we seek to be an effective way to meet the needs of future workers as they apply for jobs, or create opportunities as entrepreneurs. We believe that education can create millions of opportunities for employment, including contributions to education itself by training teachers, designing educational materials, school building, etc. Therefore our focus on higher education and lifelong learning is a mandate to attract worldwide professionals for the self-sustaining economic, as well as social betterment of Burundi and other developing countries. The role of experts and qualified International Professors is to transfer both knowledge and skills: the keys to making people self-sustained by helping them to achieve Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral degrees. The partnership between the International Professors Project and Burundi Universities Development Program (IPP/ASASS-Burundi) is a Universal Economic Multimedia Forum (UEM-Forum) committed to effective educational research and development via global medias. It is also a private and public partnership tool using pedagogical methods empowered by technologies which catalyze socio-economic development to encourage innovation in the education system. This is accomplished by adopting the use of multimedia and information communication technologies in education and daily work programs. This group is also viewed as a tool for conducting experimental studies toward future higher education and lifelong training courses in various institutions throughout Africa, and has been created to attract key resource persons to help in planning these courses. Members of this group are encouraged to share experiences, information, resources, and to contribute to consultation sessions along with volunteer International Professors. These professors hail from universities all over the world, and are academic rectors, headmasters of colleges, emeritus professors, lecturers and experts into various domains. They are NPO leaders and contributors, entrepreneurs in the public and private sectors, researchers, psychologists, librarians, nurses, doctors, university student fellows and more, in both the developed and the developing world. In essence, the partnership between the International Professors Project and ASASS-BURUNDI is an effective mobilization of qualified persons toward the common goal of developing higher education in third world countries, specifically in Africa. This group aims to create plans to meet the needs of future African generations by: first, recognizing the essential right of all members of this group to be consulted in the adoption of new policies and in formulating recommendations; and second, to have the opportunity to help design new curricula, and pedagogies to support the delivery of these curricula to African communities. Through the B.A.N.K.E Universal Initiative 4 All (UI4ALL) T.E.A.M, already several years in the planning process, courses will be taught at affiliated member schools, and HUMAN AWARD UNIVERSAL SCHOOLS (HAUS) will be created in Burundi and other member countries. The CAUS will host events among the people to teach positive behavior changes through multimedia; project democratic values; promote the role of Pan-Africanism, and in particular the role of women and youth in the African Liberation struggles; and to help build a capacity for responsibility and innovation in Africa to create employment opportunities, especially for women and the youth, in the arts, banking, trade, education, agriculture and construction.
